There wouldn’t be a discussion without mentioning PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds whenever we’re talking about Battle Royale genre. PUBG is considered the best game in the genre and it was actually the first AAA game that came out in this genre selling over 50 million copies over the years of its existence.
Now the company behind the game, PUBG Corp, a subsidiary of Bluehole Inc is launching PUBG Lite which you can understand from the title, it is a game for low-spec PCs. It’s a low graphics version of PUBG for PC. Basically PUBG Lite provides its players gameplay like PUBG Mobile but more advanced in many areas. Also, it’s free-to-play!
Initially, PUBG Lite was launched in Thailand then spread through 15 countries now! These countries include Bangladesh, Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Turkey.
Brazil and Turkey have gotten the game only one day ago on May 23. So we may see more countries in the future that are taking part in PUBG Lite.
On a blog post, PUBG Corp stated that they don’t have specific plans for other countries but once they have plans for upcoming regions they will update us.
